Abstract:

In the academic world, the adage “Publish or Perish” has long been the guiding principle for scholars seeking to advance their careers. However, in today’s digital age, where an overwhelming volume of publications floods the scholarly landscape daily, a new paradigm has emerged: “Visible or Vanish.” This presentation will address the critical need for researchers to make their work visible and accessible. We will discuss the shift from publishing research to ensuring it is seen, engaged with, and impactful.

Participants of this webinar will:

  • Gain an understanding of the importance of research visibility and its profound impact on academic success.
  • Learn how to utilize a variety of resources and tools designed to maximize the visibility and impact of their research.
  • Implement practical tips and strategies that enhance visibility and foster impactful research practices.

By the end of this session, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge to navigate the “Visible or Vanish” landscape, ensuring their research not only contributes to academic discourse but also stands out, reaching wider audiences and achieving greater influence.
