Description:

Author Co-citation Analysis (ACA) is an established method for identifying the different components of a discipline by mapping patterns of publication. ACA techniques have been applied and refined for over 30 years. They can be applied to any discipline or sub-discipline which has a substantial body of published literature. Mr Warning will discuss some of the techniques and illustrate their application, and the conclusions that can be drawn from them, using examples from his previous research.

About the speaker(s):

Peter Warning is a new lecturer in the Information & Technology Division. He comes from an LIS background. Over the past decade he has undertaken a number of author co-citation analyses (ACA)
