Applicants should have an Associate Degree/Higher diploma/Bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science related disciplines with strong knowledge in web-based technologies in education. Excellent programming skills with PHP (preferably using Laravel framework) as backend and React/Angular/Vue as frontend respectively; and hands-on experience in system administration of web servers. A background in customization/development of open-source software is a definite advantage. Priority will be given to those who have demonstrated experience in independent software development, with links to samples/repository of previous works (e.g. GitHub link) included in their C.V.
The appointee will be responsible for developing a suite of technologies in a team to support learning design, learning analytics and visualization for teachers, including but not limited to a version of the Learning Design Studio platform that can communicate with Learning Management Systems. He/She will also be involved in requirement engineering with stakeholders, provide technical support to different users (e.g. team members, teachers and students) on using the suite of technologies, and create user/developer documentation for the tools developed.
To commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2025, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
