Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Learning Design, Education Technology, Engineering or a related discipline with at least 2 years of work experience in learning design/instructional design and/or e-learning related curriculum development support positions in an educational institution. The applicant should have knowledge of using Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle) to support blended and fully online learning. Experience in the design of curriculum/pedagogical integration of artificial intelligence applications for K-12 education and/or the use of learning analytics and/or assessment design to support learner feedback and intervention is highly desirable. Knowledge/skills in UI/UX design will be a valuable asset. Teaching and research experience in schools/tertiary institutions will also be considered as an advantage. The level of appointment will be determined based on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
The appointee will be contributing to the further development and promotion of the IDEALS system in the Centre for Information Technology in Education. Specifically, he/she will be leading the development of the learning design resources component in the project team, taking responsibility to develop design patterns that include pedagogically appropriate learning analytics feedback and actionable recommendations for teachers and learners to meet the diverse needs of different user groups, and work collaboratively with various parties on system development. The learning designer would also be responsible for developing professional development and training materials, conducting online/face-to-face workshops and providing professional support for IDEALS users.
