Requirements

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in STEAM/ science education, artificial intelligence, e-learning, assessment, curriculum studies, education, or a related discipline; a recognized teaching qualification; and at least 7 years’ relevant experience in science teaching, curriculum development, learning design and/ or providing professional support to schools to enhance STEAM/ science education. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of pedagogical innovation and experience in supporting teacher learning and professional development. Priority will be given to those who have experience in research on teacher learning and/ or school development for curriculum/ pedagogical innovations, or who have held leadership positions (e.g. vice principal, curriculum leader and subject panel head) in schools, or who have demonstrated expertise in managing/ supporting large-scale school development projects.

Duties

The appointee will work closely with the project leaders to design and implement teacher and school networks, provide school-based professional support to schools, design and deliver network activities, conduct research and consolidate the support experience of the team for knowledge generation. He/She is expected to:
1. assist the project leaders with the design and implementation of professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders on STEAM education, AI in science education, self-directed learning and innovation leadership;
2. coordinate and liaise with different parties for the smooth implementation of the teacher and school networks;
3. work collaboratively with project teachers in designing STEAM curriculum integrating AI technologies and using self-directed learning strategies;
4. work independently in developing, implementing and evaluating school-based support plans for project schools;
5. nurture project schools’ multi-level innovation and leadership capacity;
6. prepare project reports, draft research papers and case stories, develop design resources and project deliverables, design and conduct related qualitative and quantitative research; and
7. perform other duties as assigned.

Employment Period

To commence from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026.
